Eminent Professor to Lead Worship at Bradford Unitarians
On Sunday 26th March, Geoff Levermore will lead our worship at 10.45 am. His subject for the service is ‘God, the Mystery of Creation’. Geoff Levermore is a retired professor from Manchester University with an international reputation. He contributed to the report which helped the Intergovernmental Panel for Climate Change (IPCC) become a joint winner (alongside US Vice-President Al Gore) of the Nobel Prize for Peace.
Unitarianism was founded as a thoughtful and rational faith and Unitarians have always had strong links with eminent scientists of their day (Joseph Priestley, discoverer of oxygen, was a Unitarian minister at nearby Mill Hill Chapel, Leeds) so we are very proud to host such an important contemporary thinker.
The service will be followed by the congregation’s AGM.
